It takes a village to raise a child. Or not?

But what if the village and you do not have the same parenting attitude? What happens when you have one way to handle tantrums but ‘the village’ has another way. How will things work?

The child will get confused. Will have more behaviour problems. Will get more cranky as he himself does not know what is going on. How he is supposed to deal with each of his own emotional states because adults give opposing responses.

Sometimes, it’s better to raise your children alone.

Other times, they do need outside perspectives.

How do we get a good balance? How do we ‘control’ how much our child gets from ‘the village’ ?
