21 month old Edward

This record of developments is between the age of 20 months and 21 months old.

************************

It’s been a rough month for Edward. Think there had been more crying and whining than there was smiling and laughing.

*************************

He can open our bedroom door now. He can reach the door handle when he tiptoes.

He can sing! Literally singing! I mean, last month he was humming but I couldn’t figure out what song he was humming to. Now, he can hum the correct tunes! He can even sing a few words and finish off with a hum 🙂 the songs: twinkle twinkle little star, the ABC song, Yok meu kheun leo pin pin, the witch doctor, toot toot chugga chugga big red car! Oh my! I’m so proud of my baby Edward! (he’ll always be my baby even though now he’s a toddler and already has a baby brother). He’s growing so fast … I have to spend more time with him or I’ll miss it.

And guess what? My baby can jump! Lifted 2 feet up! Although more often than not, it’s a gallop (one foot up before the other), but he’s improving 🙂

He knows exactly what he wants and stands firm with his decision. Is this a good trait or not? 🙂
When at the courtyard for a morning walk, I wanted to head home but he insisted on going to his favourite “slowly” place. He wouldn’t nudge a step. Seems like he has a vision of a place that he can’t see and actually wants to go there! Not bad.

He now knows to choose when given options. Previously he would only smile shyly when asked to choose, or would just repeat after us the choices we gave him eg. If we ask blue or red, he would answer red. If we ask red or blue he would say blue.mbut now he answers with the choice he wants 🙂
